In der Zeit des Umbruchs

Für all jene, die es noch nicht mitbekommen haben: Japan steht vor einem historischen Machtwechsel. Erstmals seit 50 Jahren hat im Unterhaus eine andere Partei als die LDP die Mehrheit errungen. Ob sich dadurch tatsächlich etwas verändern wird, bleibt abzuwarten. Ich bin auf jeden Fall gespannt, den Umbruch eins zu eins miterleben zu können und die Meinung von Japanern zum Thema zu hören.

For those of you who haven’t heard yet: There has been a historical shift in power in the Japanese government. For the first time in 50 years the LDP lost the majority in the House of Commons. If this will actually change something remains to be seen. I for my part am looking forward to witnessing this change first-hand and to listening what Japanese think about it.

Bald ist es soweit!

Genau jetzt in einer Woche werde ich mich bereits im Flugzeug Richtung Japan befinden. Alle wichtigen Vorbereitungen sind abgeschlossen, was noch bleibt sind das Mitbringsel einkaufen und Koffer packen . Den Blog werde ich hauptsächlich in Deutsch führen, jedoch bei Gelegenheit eine Kurzzusammenfassung in Englisch anhängen. Von nun an werde ich mich auch um möglichst häufige Posts bemühen

As you can see German will be the main language of my blog. But don’t worry, whenever I can I will supply you with a short summary in English. In exactly one week from now I’ll already be on the airplane to Japan. Fortunately I’m done with all the important preparations already. That leaves the shopping for gifts and packing . From now on I’ll try to post more frequently, so stay tuned

Deutsch liegt vorn

Es scheint sich eine Mehrheit für Deutsch abzuzeichnen. Ich lasse den Poll aber noch 1-2 Wochen laufen.
Abgesehen davon bin ich positiv überrascht ob der bisherigen Besucherzahl! Wäre schön wenn wir das aufrecht erhalten oder sogar noch steigern könnten!

Bis ich mit regelmässigen Posts beginne, versuche ich den Blog anderweitig zu bereichern. Interessierte können sich z.B. via Link den Artikel über die neue Generation japanischer Männer zu Gemüte führen oder dem IT-Blog eines Arbeitskollegen einen Besuch abstatten.

It’s not looking too good for my non-German-speaking readers. I’ll keep the poll online for another 1 or 2 weeks, but I’m not expecting a big shift. I hope you’re gonna stop by from time to time nonetheless. Pictures say more than a thousand words anyway, and I’ll try to supply you with lots of those.
